Valerie Crafton
Valerie Crafton is SVP, Strategy & Operations at Mod42, where she leads the integration of strategic vision and operational execution to deliver scalable, next-generation infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing.
With over 20+ years of experience in mission-critical construction, Valerie has led complex data center and advanced manufacturing projects for companies including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, and GlobalFoundries. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from site selection and power strategy through design, construction, and delivery, bringing a unique perspective across both execution and investment strategy.
At Mod42, she leads the delivery of modular data centers built from the ground up in a factory and deployed on-site, enabling customers to bring AI infrastructure online up to 50% faster and at 40% lower cost than traditional builds.
Valerie holds an MBA from Louisiana State University and a PhD in Digitization & Leadership from the American Advanced Technology & Cybersecurity Institute (AATC). She is a recipient of the iMasons People’s Award and serves as the iMWomen Phoenix Chapter Leader.
She is also the founder of Hands-On Heroes, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation through STEM education and early exposure to the skilled trades.
