Susanna Kass is Stanford GMB Board member and Energy fellow, senior Data Center advisor to UN SDG-EP, Operating Partner for Digital Gravity Infrastructure Partner, and Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners.  Kass ranks 5th among the 2026 Top 10 Data Centre Global leaders (alongside CEOs from AMD, AWS, Nvidia, and Digital Realty), ranks 1st among the Top 10 Women in Data Center in the USA, and received the Top 10 Data Center Influencers award from Data Centre World and LinkedIn for 2026-2023. In August 2026, Kass was recognized as an Eminent 40 Pioneer and one of the Most Admired Women in Data Centers for her AI Absolute Zero design globally, shaping the future of Digital Infrastructure. Kass is recognized as one of the MSN Top 5 Inspiration Women, a Forbes Digital InfrastructureTrailblazer, a Global 100 AI Infrastructure Game Changer, and a DataCloud Global Power 50.  Her recognition is based on the impact of her leading 4.8+ Gigawatt of Clean Energy Data Centre operating projects with hyperscaler clients and as a reference architecture contributor—Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, Meta (Facebook), AWS, Equinix, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, John Hopkins and Stanford University—to achieve Carbon Neutrality goals across 21 countries.

 

Kass has over 33 years of global data center operational experience, and concurrently, 21 years in clean energy design as an AI scientist researcher. She holds patents and has been featured in publications, including as an Amazon Press Best Selling Author and in WSJ, Forbes, MSN, Inc. CIO, TEDx, and Data Centre magazines. In her career, Kass managed Fortune 500 data center architects and global operations organizations of 7000+ people globally. She led new ventures to $billions from the ground up in her roles as COO at eBay International, General Manager of HP APAC Data Centre Operation, VP Global Data Centre Business Operations at Oracle/Sun, and EVP, Head of Innovation & Corporate Development at NextEra Energy. Currently, Kass is an Operating Partner at Digital Gravity Infrastructure Partners, a senior advisor to Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Program.

 

Kass’s passion is to achieve a carbon-free economy. In her work, Kass led the design of the Community First AI Factory, which is environmentally positive and focuses on Absolute Zero AI and Net Zero Data Centers for AI Factory and Cloud Computing. Kass is a co-founder at InfraPrime℠, Net Zero Switzerland startup funded by European Clean Energy funds. Kass works with the private and public sectors, raising the ambition of the Clean Energy pledge and operating $billion Carbon Neutral infrastructure investments.

 

Kass was awarded with numerous industry accolades in the past three decades; she is the first woman to receive The Lifetime Data Centre Innovation Achievement Award by Data Centre Dynamics in London. Currently and for the past 12 years, she has served as a judge for the data center industry, DCD, DataCloud Global Awards, TMT Finance Global Awards, Platform Congress, IEC Institute for Engineering Innovation and UNSDG-Action. Kass is the co-founder and chair of the DataCloud Talent in Tech Initiative, an IPCC research contributor, and as an AI Reference Architecture Contributor. 

 

Kass resides in Silicon Valley, CA, USA. She is a Distinguished alumna of the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
