Mike Simpson
Mike Simpson, SVP of R&D at ON.energy, leads a team of engineers and specialists in the development, evaluation, de-risking, and deployment of new technology solutions throughout ON's product portfolio. He brings a multi-disciplinary background in R&D and commercial application of technologies. This has included over 20 years’ experience with battery energy storage with 18 years applied directly in clean energy to integrate new technologies that support a more sustainable, more robust, and cost-effective utility grid. Prior to On, he worked in renewable energy and energy efficiency with AES, Fluence, EPRI, NREL, and Rocky Mountain Institute, bringing early career experience in aerospace engineering. He has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado and an M.S. in System Design and Optimization from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
