Eric Wilcox
Eric Wilcox is the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Engineering, Construction, and Operations at Fleet Data Centers. Since joining Fleet in October of 2024, Eric has driven our technology and standard data center designs as well as developed our equipment and deployment partnerships. Eric brings to Fleet 30 years of experience in the data center infrastructure industry ranging across server, storage and network device development and data center facilities infrastructure at scale.
Before joining Fleet, Eric was the Vice President of Global Data Center Engineering for six years, managing 1,600+ people, spanning all data center disciplines, including civil, structural, electrical, mechanical cooling, controls, fire systems, acoustics, and both embedded and in-rack power. During this tenure, Eric and his teams designed, deployed, upgraded, and improved uptime for over 800 data centers globally from five to six 9's of rack availability.
Earlier in his career, Eric designed and constructed data centers for 5 Fortune 100 enterprises. Eric has technical experience developing facilities (traditional construction and modular data centers, cable landing stations, network facilities) globally across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and even the Arctic Circle. Eric continues to engage customers consultatively on all aspects of data center designs and sub-systems including mechanical cooling, controls, electrical systems, in-rack power, and high-density, liquid cooled rack designs, leveraging knowledge from government deployments above 100KW racks dating back 10 years ago.
