Chris has been at Hut 8 for almost 5 years. Before that, he spent nearly two decades in power origination and renewable energy, holding commercial roles across the sector: Vice President of Business Development at GlidePath Power Solutions, Senior Director of Origination at Leeward Renewable Energy, Director of Commercial Transactions at Invenergy, and Director of Power Marketing at Acciona Energy, where he originated and structured wind, solar, storage, and REC and carbon transactions across markets including MISO, PJM, and ERCOT. He began his career on the engineering and environmental side of energy, with early roles at GE Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

As Vice President of Energy Origination, Chris leads how Hut 8 secures the power and the sites behind its power assets in the Midwest, with responsibility for the MISO market. His work spans grid interconnection, navigating the technical and regulatory requirements to connect Hut 8's infrastructure to the grid; utility negotiation, engaging utility providers to secure favorable contracts and navigate complex energy markets; and land development, identifying and securing the land to develop the data centers.
