As SVP of Design, Engineering & Innovation on Beale's delivery team, Alfonso Portillo leverages two decades of expertise spanning data center campus design, engineering, operations, and construction. His background includes ten years with Google's data center team, where he not only served as global AI/ML delivery lead but also spearheaded the development of ~1 gigawatt of capacity across Pryor, Oklahoma, and Midlothian, Texas. Prior to his significant contributions at Google, Alfonso’s career featured leadership roles such as VP of Design and Construction at Yondr, overseeing their NASA deliveries, and Regional Engineering Manager at Bank of America, managing western region data center operations. He also managed project deliveries for Bank of America and Structuretone in various states across the US. Alfonso holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Master's in Management in Extension Studies from Harvard University.
